1. They don't realize they are only supposed to get 1 piece
2. Since the toddlers doesn't realize this they take more than 1 piece.
3. Very few people will stop the toddler from taking more than needed. As a matter of fact, most of the people encouraged him.
Needless to stay...Mateo made out pretty well with his treats. Or should I say mom and dad made out well with Mateo's treats :) Hey...we can only benefit from this for a few years before he realizes what we are up to. And no toddler needs that much sugar in their body. I'm only looking out for him.
Anyways, the trick-or-treating was organized & enjoyable. We got a list of rooms that would be handing out candy, the 6th & 7th floor gave out candy, and then a few of the "cottages" or independent houses gave out candy. Some we had to knock at and others sat outside their doors. It was so fun to see the faces of the people! Their smiles gave away their enjoyment in seeing the little people come to their doors. Really made me want to spend some more time with these people.
Here are some pictures of our busy bee working his magic & filling up his bucket.
Okay...could he be any cuter! He tried to get out the words "trick-or-treat". He mumbled it a little and other times he just said "cookie!" He did always say thank you though. Below you will see a few pictures of his other interests of the day...objects. He stopped at looked at all of the decorations people had by their doors or on tables. He LOVED them. And every cat was of course "OLIVE!" Mateo was sure to point out every dog statue, call it Moe Moe, and bark at it. Oh does this boy have some sweet sweet quirks!
