Boo at the Zoo

When we go into any store with Halloween decorations, Mateo shys away from them.  We sometimes get a little whimper and he says "all done."  So I wasn't sure how well he would do with Halloween activities, but we tried it out tonight at Boo at the Zoo. 

We are happy to report that he (and we) had a great time trick-or-treating, being with friends, going to mazes & haunted houses, ect. 

 Our little bumble bee & daddy heading into the zoo!  We choose a bee for M's costume because he loves the song "I'm bring home a baby bumble bee...".  He did an awesome job keeping on his hat & antennas. 

 

Our friends the Castor's joined us for Boo at the Zoo.  Sweet James was the cutest cow!  His little faced was so sweet encompassed with the black and white.

We did get to see some animals. Here are the possum and a sweet sweet owl.

 

 

 

Mateo and Daddy were experts at finding their way through the hay maze.  And isn't the picture of James & Mateo so precious!  They held hands on their own...5 seconds later they hit each other!  You have to love boys.

 I was so surprised, but Mateo went through the "haunted" house.  It wasn't scary, but since he doesn't like the displays at stores, I thought he wouldn't like it.  It was pretty neat though with blow ups, crazy mirrors, skeletons and this room with pieces of cloth you had to walk through.

 Some other views of the night:  Daddy eating Mateo's candy, a bee keeper costume that I thought was awesome, and 2 daddy's and their boys.

 

 

And to top off the night Jack Hanna was at the Zoo!  He's driving the golf cart.  Story of my life that this is the type of picture I get!  I was in shock to see someone "famous"!
