Halloween Cards

Our Life Group at church volunteers one time a month at Worthington Christian Village (WCV).  WCV is a combination of assisted living, nursing home, & independent living for people.  It's full of warm workers, and sweet ladies (unfortunately we haven't conned any men to come and hang out with us).  Anyways, we always volunteer with the assisted living.  All we do is go and let the kiddos run wild!  The ladies love watching the kiddos.  It's sweet to hear how our children remind them of their children and grandchildren.  One lady even told me that having the kids there was better than Bingo!  Quite the compliment I think.

With Halloween coming up I thought it would be nice for Mateo to make some cards for the ladies.  Just to bring them some Halloween cheer.  So today we cut apples in half, dipped them in orange paint, and then stamped them onto white paper.  Mateo was excited to be doing some "art".

Here are a few pictures of him creating his works of art.

And here are just a few pictures of our time at WCV last night.  Most of the ladies loved their cards.  One lady left hers and said it would get fought over?  So she would let us have it :)
