Mateo's 1st Haircut

I finally broke down!  I've been so hesitant to get Mateo's hair cut, as I didn't want him to lose his baby look.  I love his loose curls and crazy puff of fluffy hair!  Well we were back in Bryan for a few days last week, due to a funeral, and I finally realized...it was time!

My hair shaping technique of chasing Mateo around with scissors while he was playing or in the bath tub wasn't cutting it!  His sweet baby hair was starting to remind me of my dad's "girl curl" as we called it back in the early 90's.  For those of you who weren't blessed to know my dad and his girl curl, it was slightly mulletesque, with a sweet 1 row of curl at the bottom of the mullet.  Pretty sweet...but I wasn't a big fan of Mateo rockin' it. 

So here he is...during his cut (which I might add he did awesome!)
