Due Date Comes and Goes

Welp, the due date for baby G3, has come and gone.  Baby's due date was March 17, St. Paddy's day.  I had hopes that baby G3 would come a little early or on time, based on my body making some progress.  But today's the 18th, and no baby!  :)  I keep reminding myself that it's really okay, as long as baby is healthy, but we are so excited to meet this one!

Gabriella is not aware of what will happen when a baby's in the house.  Currently, she is obsessed with babies.  She will go over to them in the store, restaurant, etc. and stare at them.  She wants to hold anyone who's younger (or not even) than her.  Our friends just had a baby, and at a recent Life Group, she followed whoever had the baby around just staring.  Randomly she would say, "I hold her?"  Poor girl doesn't understand how fragile these babies are.  I know she will be a great big sister, but I'm sure a lot of our time will be "protecting" the baby.  If you ask her what gender the baby will be...she usually says girl.  Every now and then she will change to a broder.

Mateo is quite aware of what is coming.  He's seems eagar and is certain baby G3 is a girl, because he was right in guessing Gabriella's gender.  His name choice?  Juan for a boy and Juanita for a girl.  It's obvious in name choice and the following convo he's trying to figure out race.

Waitress: What kind of a baby are you having?
M: A Mexican

I've also been trying to get input on names for the baby and here's his suggestions.

Me- Mateo, what should we name our baby?
M - Well, if it's a girl we can name her Daphne. If it's a boy we can name it Fred. And if it's a Mexican, we can name it Shaggy.

:)  We will keep working on it.

Anyways, as we sit here this Friday night, we shall try and figure out a name for our baby.  It's such a blessing and such an exciting time waiting to see what this little one will be.

Celebrating with the ladies at BSF

Spent last weekend walking in the woods trying to get baby moving :)
