Shipshewana, IN.
M and I got to spend a day in Shipshewana, IN, while Jeremiah was in Detroit watching the Tigs in the playoffs. For those of you who have never been there, Shipshewana is Amish Country. Horses, buggies, homemade goodies, clip-clopping, etc. My favorite part of the day was when we visited Dutch Creek Animal Farm Park. This animal farm was just outside of Shipshewana located on a family farm. There were a variety (and I mean a large variety) of animals. The farm had everything from bunnies, goats, horses, and deer to zebras, camels, ostriches and many things I had never heard of! It was so much fun to take a wagon ride through the open fields full of these animals. We were given feed, in large plastic bowls, to feed the animals as we ventured through the field. I'm pretty sure mom, dad and I had just as much fun, if not more fun, than Mateo! Here are some shots of us venturing out to feed the animals.

| Please note the amount of slobber on my dads hand from this big guy! He was my favorite animal on the farm...some sort of bull. |
Some other attractions on the farm were a petting area, a walk-thru area, a miniature pony ride and some baby bunnies.
So much fun! I would highly recommend this trip for anyone who heads to Shipshewana. The owners of the farm were so informative and pleasant to chat with. Thanks for the fun day mom and dad!
Spooktacular
Last night, M and I headed to Spooktacular for trick-or-treating, games, crafts, and more. We went with our neighbors, who have a little guy Lincoln who is right around Mateo's age. They also have a sweet little one who didn't make any of the pictures. It was a chilly but fun evening.
| Trick or Treat |
We volunteer at a assisted living facility 1 time a month as a family, so we went an extra day to do some trick or treating and visit with our friends there! Our little monkey had a great time racking up the candy stash and getting in a quick hello with our friends there.
Halloween @ the Library
The library's Halloween adventures were full of games, crafts, candy, songs, stories & a puppet show. Mateo enjoyed all of the activities, but with the people and amount of activities it was pretty hectic. We still managed to enjoy ourselves :)
Trick-or-Treating
The weather wasn't too enjoyable as we trick-or-treated in the windy rain, but it was warm and so much fun! Mateo enjoyed passing out just as much as he enjoyed going to get candy, so we split our time doing some of each. The rain wasn't dampering his spirit.
Needless to say...we got in our fair share of Halloween/Fall activities :) I'm ready to move on to Thanksgiving & Christmas....but not too fast!
Happy Halloween 2013
