Fall Festivities

One of my favorite things about fall is the weather!  The chill in the area and the bright blue skies always put an extra skip in my step.  There are so many activities that are going on, too!  This is also one of the perks I've enjoyed from being in the city.  Here are some of our fall adventures so far this year!

Pumpkin Patch
Last week my friend Anne invited us to go to the pumpkin patch with her and her daughter.  We were able to enjoy some homemade donuts, pick out some pumpkins, and get in some play!  They had a straw maze and a "corn" box.  The weather was great.

Boo at the Zoo
An evening at the Zoo was a perfect end to the week.  Mateo got to dress up in his monkey costume, which he absolutely loved!  We walked around the zoo, trick-or-treated, went through a "haunted" house, saw a few animals and jumped on a trampoline.  I just really enjoy this time as a family away from the distractions of home.

Mateo was pretty brave, but there was a moment of uncertainty!

Baseball & B&B
We were also fortunate to take some time off work ( well Jeremiah's work) and head up to Detroit to catch a championship game!  Tigers vs. Athletics.  A great time was had by all 3 of us, once Mateo got passed the idea that he wasn't going to be able to play and we were there to watch.  :)  He does love to play baseball.  We ended the evening with a Tigers win and a night at The Mill a house B & B.  On a side note, if you ever want to stay at a Bed and Breakfast, I would highly recommend The Mill House.  It is ran by 2 wonderful people we got to know through a small group when we lived in Waterville.  The food and hospitality is exceptional.
Too bad we won't be headed back up to Detroit for the World Series this year, maybe next :)

Outdoor Play
Of course we have spent a lot of time out playing.  Soaking up every minute of this weather before the cold (and an infant) roll in.
Yes, this was taken this fall...on a 90 degree day!
Learning how to play hide-and-seek

Looking forward to the next few weeks of fall fun, too!  More pics to follow :)
