So we've been busy. It was Easter/M's birthday, and then a week of catching up. Then it was off for a long weekend in Bryan as Jeremiah and his dad went to the Tiger's opener (yea baseball season). While Jeremiah was rootin' on the Tiger's, Mateo and I had a breakfast date with my friend Kim and her son Reece. It was awesome to catch up over some grub as we both gushed about our boys and caught up on each other's lives. She's definitely one of the things I miss most about Waterville, but feel so lucky for us to still connect when we have "free" time. We spent the rest of the day napping, riding tractors, mommy getting some "mommy time" and eating.
Saturday is a day I had been looking forward to. Jeremiah and I had a DATE! That's right...just us. No diapers, naps, schedules...just me and Jeremiah and a baseball game. We had a wonderful time enjoying the food of Mexican Town and the pastries at the panaderia. If you're ever in that area, check it out! It was nice to have time to spend with just each other. While we were off dating...Mateo spent time with my mom and dad. Seems as though they had quite a great day!
They spent time at a farm where Mateo got to pet goats, cows, dogs, ect. Mom and dad said the baby goats were so funny running up and down bales of straw. Love that Mateo gets to experience different life styles between city and country.
With the days getting longer and warmer, we've been spending a lot more time out side. It makes for a happier toddler and mommy and daddy. If it were up to Mateo, we would be outside all. day. long.
| Guess who got a bubble mower? He loves it! Day 1 occupied him for over an hour :) |
| Love this picture showing "boys being boys". We had such a great time with friends at a new park. |
