Encouragement

It has been a few long weeks of parenting. Who am I kidding? It has been more like a year of tough parenting. Don't get me wrong, there has been so much good and fun too. But it is easy to get overwhelmed by the moments of tantrums and tears. Throwing and yelling. Sassing and hitting. So how encouraging it is when God gives me little moments of sweetness. Encouragement. Love. Here are just a few snippets that keep me going. Probably what will continue to get me through the years of the most demanding yet rewarding job on earth.

-  Tonight Mateos bedtime prayer sounded something like this.  "dear God, thank you for the singing to Jesus. Thank you for baby Moses. Please help me to not hit into be a good boy. Amen."

-  Giggles roaring out of Gabriella tonight as Mateo pushed over her toy kitchen multiple times to make her laugh.

- Mateo singing "Where is Thumbkin" to Gabriella during dinner tonight and once again making her laugh.

-  And then this. Monkey See, Monkey Do ( shoot I can't load the video for some reason)
Mateo yelling and then Gabriella yelling. Mateo yelling and then Gabriella yelling. Mateo yelling and then Gabriella yelling. Etc. etc.

I am so thankful for these precious moments. And even when I'm cranky and overwhelmed, I am so so thankful that I am the one who gets to be home with these monkeys and catch these moments.
