St. Patty's Day 2013

Living in a city with a strong Irish heritage, could make anyone feel a little Irish themselves. Although I don't feel this way...it is fun to celebrate! And the City of Dublin does throw a pretty great parade. Luckily the weather held up, as it started off 50 degrees and slowly got chillier. Good news...no rain!

We went to the parade last year and it was fun to see Mateo's big eyes as the almost one year old sat in his stroller and soaked in the sights. But this year was so much fun to see and hear his excitement. This sweet boy loved the music the best! He would clap and dance whether it was a dance groups, high school band, or the bag pipes. He loved all of the beats. Some other of his favorites: anything with dogs or horses, or loud cars like the mustang club or police motorcycles. His daddy's favorite were the bagpipes of course. And my favorite part of the parade was the freebies getting passed out: t-shirts, candy, coupons, balls, whatever we could get ahold of. My other favorite part was the smile and dancing coming from Mateo. Here are some shots of the parade. We didn't get too many good ones because we were so entertained I forgot to take pics!  Slainte!

A little pregame snack.

Warming up his cold hands.
Ahhh...the band!

Engrossed by the band as he claps along
