Christmas

Aaahhh...Christmas.  One of my favorite times of the year.  I love the hustle & bustle, gifts, giving, magic, celebration of Jesus, and just JOY.  I found it especially sweet this year sharing the holiday with a toddler.  Mateo loved the lights: Christmas tree, fire place, decorations, outdoor lights, etc.  He always made sure our tree was plugged in and said "I want lights".  So sweet...

Anyways, we had a great time celebrating the season with family.  Went spent about 5 days at home and 1 day at Great Wolf Lodge.

We had a small Christmas with Jeremiah's Aunt, Uncle &  kiddos.  It was such a nice time; eating, presents, decorating cookies, etc.  Mateo got a golf club set and Selma (Jeremiah's Aunt) realized quickly it was an AWESOME idea, as she was dodging the club :)

 We spent Christmas Eve morning with Jeremiah's family: Dad, sisters & Isaiah.  It was nice to spend some time so the boys could play and we could share in breakfast and presents.

Did I mention that Jeremiah and I were given an iPad!  :)  Awesome!

After a nap for little man we went to my Grandma's house for our Christmas Eve get together.  Here we got to see my cousin Chandler, cousin Ashlee, her little girl Daisy, and my family.  We had a wonderful dinner & appetizers and as always got spoiled with gifts.

     

Mateo really enjoyed opening gifts this year.  He also loved Daisy's cart/stroller and didn't like sharing!  He was such a big help carrying all of the presents.  And yes...Jeremiah should have been a model.  Mateo and Daisy spent some time dancing to Christmas music, too!

Christmas morning we spent with my mom, dad and brother.  We got to eat some yummy french toast casserole, and were again spoiled.  Mateo LOVED helping everyone open their gifts.

 Mateo got so many great gifts!  Mom and dad made Mateo a workbench!  It's it awesome!?  He loved it and can't wait until they come visit to bring it here.  He also got a potty chair!  YEAH!  And much more.  My brother gave him a chain saw...I warned Ryan and I would be getting his children as many loud gifts as he gets mine :)

Christmas afternoon we headed on the road to Sandusky Ohio, with our car loaded down to spend the night at Great Wolf Lodge (a water park).  We met Jeremiah's extended family there to spend the night and have Christmas together.  I think the big kids had more fun than the little ones!

Mateo spent most of his time walking around the kiddie pool and watching everyone else!  :)  He loved watching mommy and daddy come out of the big water slides.  Overall, great trip.  Luckily we beat the bad weather on our way home the 26th.
