Baking with Momma

Mateo and I had quite a long day.  He slept very poorly last night, didn't nap well today, and is just not feeling great.  So I thought I would cheer him up by doing something new....baking! 
I ran out of my good ol' box of Jiffy Corn Bread mix, and you can't have chili without corn bread so Mateo and I made some from scratch.  Here's the Cornbread Recipe if you are interested!  It was pretty yummy.

Then he mixed the dry and wet ingredients.  And when I took away one thing, to give him another.  This is what happened...every time.

 

 

Poor baby...he just isn't feeling up to par today!  Melt downs were a common theme to our day.

 

He was such a good helper, he helped clean up too!  And here's our finished product.
