Easter 2014

One of my favorite things about this Easter has been hearing Mateo say "hatchin' eggs" when he talks about hunting Easter Eggs. There are many times I hope he always uses his own words when describing things. It's one of my favorite things. Another thing that melts me is hearing him talk about Jesus. After Bible study the other day, I asked him what he learned about. His response was usual. "God". Then he said. "And Jesus". But then he elaborated more telling me about how these people had a parade and it was for Jesus, and there were donkeys and people kept yelling hip hip horray because Jesus was there!  He was pretty animated while telling me his Bible story. He was pumping his fists and yelling hip hip horray!  

Isn't this how we should think of Easter. With pure joy for love and excitement for the man who gave up his life to save us from our sins. Our many many sins. I love how it takes is a 3 year old to keep me in line :)
