Mateo @ 3

Well, our little man has grown into a 3 year old. I probably say this in every post, but really, where does time go. I feel like it was yesterday that we were expecting his arrival and today we are celebrating this 3 year old little boy!
Mateo is so full of life. He's so curious and inquisitive, and soaks up information like a sponge. Although I spend A LOT of my day answering questions, it is so worth it when I hear him recall some information. His love of learning is amazing and I can only hope it continues at this pace for years to come. Who knows what he will grow into one day. He is intune to small details and pays attention to everything!  Even when Jeremiah and I think we are talking quietly, we hear little Mateo pop up with his two cents or ask "what are you guys talking about?"  Surprises us every time!
Although he has kept us on our toes this past year, and I mean on our tippy toes, the very tips of our toes, we are so in love. He is genuine and has an amazing heart. Like when we were at the store and he asked to buy flowers for his grandma. Or the hundreds of times when he lets me know sissy is upset or gives her the paci. One of my favorite things about Mateo is his love for snuggles, hug, or kisses. If I could only bottle them up, as I'm aware they won't always be 'cool'. There is nothing better than his little legs and arms wrapped around me in hug.
Mateos enjoying a lot of different things currently; trucks, tractors, imaginative play, soccer, baseball, kick ball, building, puzzles, animals, crafts, and being outside (if it's not too cold).  He likes watching PBS Kids shows like Wild Kratts and Curious George. Short movies go over well, but he's not one to sit in front of the tv for too long.
Our days start bright and early!  From the time he's up, until he naps or goes to bed, he's a busy boy!  A favorite saying " mom/dad, what I can do?"  He likes to go, go, go.

Favorite Sayings:
"It's so hard to get there!"
"What I can do?"
"I love you!"
"Want to go to the basement and play kickball?"
"It's too sf-icy!" (Spicy)
"Last morning" used when explaining something that already happened
"I'm so sf-ety!" (Sweaty)

I wish I could capture Mateo's personality, words, voice, and energy in a bottle so I can always remember this challenging yet entertaining stage of life.
Loves, loves, loves "milk shakens" from Steak 'N Shake.

Can't get these Woody pajamas off of him.
