Takin' on the Pool

Now if this picture doesn't say "I'm ready to take on the pool" I'm not sure what does!  It cracks me up every time I look at it.  And I've looked at it a lot since last night because well, it just makes me happy!

Anyways, Jeremiah got our family a pool pass through his work.  What a perfect week to start using it, as it's hot, hot, hot & humid.  Not a combination this lady likes.  I had heard the pools were pretty neat, but I was NOT expecting this...

Let me try to explain this MASSIVE Pool area!  Honestly, Mateo enjoyed it so much more than he did Great Wolf Lodge and it's a heck of a lot cheaper!  (granted he is a little older now)  So there are 3 areas that I recall from our visit.
1.  The big kid/adult pool.  Here you swim laps or enjoy water deeper than 3 feet.  I'd like to say it's more calm than the kiddie area...but it's not.
2.  Then there's the large water slide.  They have tubes you can go down the slide in!  I would have been all about it, but didn't figure baby 2 would appreciate the ride :)
3.  The HUGE kiddie play area.  0" entry pool that is massive!  It might go to 4" or something near that.  But seriously...the area is huge.  In this area there is also, a mushroom that drenches you in water, that massive play system you see in the most recent picture, 5 fountains that spray up from the bottom, and plenty of swimming space.  The big structure you see has a slide for the smaller kiddos, steps and different layers that have different water activities.

It was all so much fun.  Mateo enjoyed his time in the big pool with daddy.  Look how brave he is!

But he also really enjoyed the kiddie area.  He seemed to enjoy "swimming" with his arms pulling him along on the bottom of the pool.

But with all of this water play, he did enjoy the whistle blows when it was break time :)

So much fun.  We checked out the "north" pool today, but we'll save those shots from another day!
