I love long weekends. Especially ones when we can escape from the hustle and bustle of suburb life and head to the fields of northwest Ohio. And that is just what we did to help celebrate our presidents this President's Day weekend.
We were able to spend some time with Jeremiah's dad, grandpa and nephew. We had an amazing breakfast...better than Frankie's (a small town hot spot for food), were able to play some Candy Land, rock out, and bond. We haven't seen them since Christmas, so it was great to be able to have some down time with them.
Mateo got some bonding time with grandma this weekend which they both loved! I loved it too because I got a little break! My hair got cut, I showered without a sweet toddler beckoning me, went to the store and got in and out quickly, etc...AWESOME! We also got a surprise visit from a family friend and their little guy, Levi. The boys played so good together! You can find Levi in the black tub :)
Every time a trip is made to grandma and grandpa Jerger's there's always outside time! This weekend Mateo got to use his "chain saw" that Uncle Ryan got him for Christmas. He had a great time being just like his uncle and "cutting" wood.

| And of course there is the beloved tractor ride. |
Mateo also got to spend a short time with his cousin "Anca". Known to others as Bianca. They are so sweet to watch play together...although they both have pretty strong personalities and don't always share the best! :)
We had a great time with family and only wish there was more time to spend with everyone! But am so thankful for the long weekends.
